First GDT auction in 2021: + 3.9% on average; Butter rises even faster The first Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction in 2021 continues the positive upward trend in Dec 2020 with an average of + 3.9% . Surcharges were achieved in all sectors, with a particular focus on normal butter. With 30,313 t the handling volumes over the Vorauktionen are again been lower. In the case of whole milk powder (VMP) , the already increased prices in the pre-auctions were increased again by an average of +3.1% . In all delivery dates, the surcharges are in the order of 3%. The absolute prices of $ 3,306 / t are still above the multi-year average.
