US seed status report: not as bad as feared flooding
Heavy rainfall have resulted in sharp price reactions with flooding in Central US corn - and soybean-growing regions on the stock exchanges. the weekly report on the State of development of the main US market fruit of last Sunday has only 3 points of less in the rank scale "good" when the corn stock. After all, nearly 79% of maize stocks in the category of "Good to excellent" were classified in the most affected region of Iowa. In the surrounding neighbouring States are the assessments on similar height.
The precipitation should diminish but, however, the floors are so soaked that significantly delayed a recovery seed in the hardest-hit regions.
Corn prices on the stock exchanges have yielded again on Monday.
The soybeans to 95% sown have similar musters as the corn. The price movements are determined mainly by the tight supply situation in the United States. Mathematically, providing connection to the new U.S. crop is always critical. A strong rationing in the soy meal could still most likely brought about by sustained high prices. Imports from South America could contribute to discharge as well as the increased use of DDGS (dried corn Stillage) as a result of increasing corn processing to bioethanol.
Already, the winter wheat is harvested to 33%. However, the rains for an interruption of the harvesting operations have resulted in some areas. The remaining stocks classified as "good to excellent" and 44% with "poor to very poor" with 30%. An improvement of this poor animal muster is no longer achieved through precipitation. It remains essentially on a very weak U.S. winter wheat crop.
The summer wheat presents itself, however, with 71 points in the category "good to excellent" in terms of good average of averages of the past few years. The growing size and the amount of harvest of summer wheat fail but smaller. The weak winter wheat harvest is low partly offset can be.
To what extent the stock musters have delivered the full overview of the impact of heavy rainfall last Sunday already, will only next week turn out. On the one hand the affected stocks can recover partially, on the other hand must be expected even with undiscovered damage.
