There are no sales for processing potatoes on the futures exchange in Leipzig today. In the April 23 contract, buyers and sellers are too far apart for that. While the buyers have positioned themselves at EUR 25.10/dt, the sellers are at EUR 25.70/dt. In the Apri 24 contract, too, the difference between the bid and ask price is 50 cents per quintal. Quiet - that's how the markets for both processed goods and ware potatoes can be described. Nothing is going to change that anytime soon. The processing market tends to be under pressure because of farmers' willingness to sell and the low demand from factories. Table potatoes remain stable.
