Baumwolle: Preise verharren auf niedrigem Niveau

Financial.de / AWP, Zürich (23.03.09) - Der Weltmarktpreis für Baumwolle hält sich bisher im März in New York mit knapp über 40 US-Cents je lb für den nächstliegenden Terminkontrakt auf weiterhin niedrigem Niveau. Obschon die Anbauflächen weltweit zurückgestuft werden, bleiben die Vorratsmengen derart umfangreich dass die Versorgungslage in keiner Weise Anlass zur Besorgnis gibt.

Der weltweite Baumwollanbau wird nach Angaben des Internationalen Baumwollrates in Washington (International Cotton Advisory Committee ICAC) im kommenden Erntejahr 2009/10 zum dritten aufeinanderfolgenden Mal zurückgehen.
