Klimawandel lässt Ernten schrumpfen

Financial Times Deutschland, FTD (31.01.08) - Die globale Erwärmung bedroht besonders die ärmsten Regionen der Welt. Amerikanischen Forschern zufolge müssen besonders Afrika und Asien bis zum Jahr 2030 mit einer Zunahme des Hungers rechnen.

Vielen der ärmsten Regionen der Welt drohen schon in den nächsten 20 Jahren Ernteeinbußen durch den Klimawandel. Betroffen seien besonders der Süden Afrikas und Asiens, berichten Forscher um David Lobell von der Universität Stanford im Fachjournal "Science".
