Belgen blijven grootste producenten aardappelen

hln.be (23.02.07) - De Belgen eten minder aardappelen, maar zijn nog altijd de grootste aardappelproducenten van Europa. Dat schrijft de Waalse krant L'Echo. In totaal zijn zo'n 65.000 hectare, 60 procent in Vlaanderen en 40 procent in Wallonië, bestemd voor het verbouwen van aardappelen. Naar schatting eet elke Belg jaarlijks 95 kilogram aardappelen.
