Coceral 2016 lower than European Commission estimates EU crop
The umbrella organisation of the European grain and oilseed trader COCERAL has presented its 1st estimate to the new EU crop. The result is 306,3 million tons. The European Commission has issued some time before a forecast with 310,3 million tonnes.
The differences between the two predictions are even in the varying estimates for the wheat, corn and other grains. The EU expects a maize harvest of 67 million tonnes, while Coceral taps only to 63.1 million tonnes. At the other crop, the Commission predicted a magnitude of 92.4 million tonnes while Coceral emanating only from 89.5 million tonnes.
However, the EU Commission by 2.5 million tons wheat estimates are lower.
More differences in the harvest area of 57.1 million ha in the case of Coceral and 56.9 million hectares for the EU Commission. The different earnings expectations are crucial. Coceral estimates the average level of rd. 1 dt per hectare lower one as the Commissionthat compared to last year by rd. 2 dt / ha more goes out.
For the year 2015, Coceral approximate equal estimates income of 308,8 million tons as the EU Commission with 309,3 million tonnes.
The weaker harvest 2016 will be by Coceral at 1 dt / ha in slightly larger cultivated area in the lower Flächenerträgen seen. It is for the estimate of subordinate multi-annual average income. 2015 significantly higher earnings. However, the decision is about only the income decisive months may-June-July 2016. In this respect remains much room for new assessments.
The decisive reductions in harvest year expected Coceral primarily in France with 1.5 million tonnes and United Kingdom with 1 million metric tons, while almost equally high income is estimated for Germany. Significant improvements , it is hoped the last year's weak performance in Spain after . Slight increases are predicted after the Trockenheitsbedingten burglaries last year for the Eastern European countries. The exceptions are the Baltic States and the Czech Republic with weaker harvest forecasts.
Despite the lower crop expectations remain the results above the multi-annual average.
