The fall in wheat prices continues. In Paris on Euronext/Matif, prices fell by 4.25 euros in the front month of September. The closing price was 254.25 euros/t. The normalizing weather situation is further easing the outlook for the global supply situation. The fact that European wheat prices have recently had no chance against the price offers from Ukraine and Russia in international competition is also weighing on the market in this country. According to analysts, the sowing of spring wheat is also progressing well in Russia. Producers are largely satisfied with the development of stocks in Germany. However, the crops could do with more sun for the grain filling phase. Wheat also headed south on the CBoT. Here, too, competition from Russia is playing a decisive role. New export bookings are expected today. Analysts are expecting a volume of between 300,000 and 650,000 tons. Pre-market CBoT wheat is trending slightly firmer today.
