Mars certifies cheap order conditions for the EU winter sowing
The Agrarmeteorologische Institute at the Commission (MARS) comes due to the climate data in the autumn 2015 to the conclusion that the order of the winter crops in the EU is predominantly took place under favourable conditions.
The comparison of temperatures and precipitation 10 days before and after the usual regional seeding dates is to determine that on the one hand long enough for soil preparation also enough moisture for a convenient field access to available was dry periods.
Over time, it turned out that, of the month Oct. 15 a little too cool measured is down on the long-term average. In contrast, the larger part of the November month above-average warmwas. The high temperatures have contributed to a favourable seed development.
Slightly different ratios of favourable autumn development can be observed in the northern parts of France with only scant rainfall. This also applies to large parts of Poland . The field rising can be in schweirigen layers to be desired. Also the Ukraine is concerned. There, 18% of the wheat areas should have left uncultivated.
However, fell in the South-eastern areas of the EU-average lot of rain. He was however also necessary to compensate for the previous rainfall.
Also the North-West UK received high amounts of precipitation a region with little grain crops, however. For somewhat more precipitation would have been in the main production areas of England's desirable. The mild climate of the Lake over the winter affects on the island but back in general circulation.
Mostly assumes a reasonable start in the new EU-grain period 2015/16 inside.
