According to the USDA, Iranian corn production in 2025/26 will remain unchanged from the previous year at 1.4 million tons, while total feed consumption will increase to 15.3 million tons. This increases dependence on imports: Russia supplied 0.5 million tons of corn to Iran in the July/August period. In the previous year, this figure was 0.4 million tons.
The lack of impetus due to the public holiday caused maize on Euronext to fall by €1.50 to €187.50/t for November.
