US corn prices closed Tuesday on the CBoT with losses. Futures prices fell between 4 and 5 cents. On the futures market, the September 2025 contract closed at 399.25 US cents/bushel, a loss of 4.50 US cents.
The latest USDA figures show that the ripening process is progressing slightly faster than average: 14% of stocks have already reached dough maturity. Condition ratings remain unchanged from the previous week. 74 % of the stocks were rated as good/excellent.
The declining export trend in Brazil is having a negative impact. The Brazilian export association ANEC lowered its forecast for maize exports in July to 4.14 million tons. The previous week's estimate was 4.6 million tons.
On Euronext, August corn rose slightly by €1.00 to €212.00/t, while November corn lost €0.75 and is now exactly at the €200.00/t mark.
