There was no trading in the USA on Monday due to Labor Day. However, there was news from Australia. According to the latest quarterly crop report from ABARES, a wheat harvest of 33.77 million tons is expected here. This is significantly higher than the June estimate of 30.56 million tons. After an initially dry and late start to the season, above-average rainfall in July and August ensured good conditions in parts of South Australia and Victoria.
In Russia, the analyst firm IKAR raised its forecast for the 2025 wheat harvest by 500,000 tons to 86.0 million tons. The export estimate was also raised to 4.2 million tons from the previous 3.8 million tons.
On Euronext, December wheat lost €2.25 to €191.75 per tonne.
