Due to the public holiday in the USA on Friday, there was little trading activity. Traders therefore had no choice but to use Thursday's figures as a basis. Here, the prices for wheat in Chicago for September were 556.60 US cents/bushel and thus lower than the previous day. The HRW and spring wheat prices also fell. Things did not look any better on Euronext on Friday. Here too, September lost 1.50 € to 195.75 €/t. Current estimates predict an imminent trend reversal in part due to the low price development, but these statements should be treated with caution, as harvest forecasts have been adjusted upwards in many places. Favorable exports are also expected from Russia.
