US wheat prices headed south on Wednesday. The Chicago March recorded a loss of 12.60 US cents to the equivalent of 208.57 €/t. The bears also took over the futures in Kansas and Minneapolis. In yesterday's trading, the focus was once again on the weather. In the central Plains, snowfall brought relief. This means that the reported low temperatures should no longer have such a negative impact on stocks due to the protective effect of the blanket. Prices from the Black Sea region continued to exert pressure. After prices had continued to rise in recent days, analysts at Sovecon reported yesterday that the price range at the ports was weaker again and had fallen. Paris wheat was unable to counter the general downward trend and was also weaker at the close of trading. The leading March ended trading with a loss of 1.50 euros/tonne to 228.25 euros/tonne.
