Wheat prices on the CBoT recovered slightly on Tuesday. The March contract rose by 2.25 US cents to 558.00 US cents per bushel. Prices on the Matif also rose on green ground. The March contract there climbed by 50 cents to 225.75 €/t. Impetus came from the weather outlook in the main growing regions, which was forecast to be very rainy. These prospects put pressure on prices. Short covering and technical purchases countered this, but then led to a positive development, which further supported the market picture.
