Today's daily high has already reached a price of 31.50 euros/dt. This means that demand is expected to materialize from May in particular, leading to rising prices on the futures market. But prices are also somewhat firmer again on the cash markets. Last week, Reka raised its listing by EUR 0.50/dt for Fontane and Challenger to EUR 29.50/dt. Innovator has also increased and is now being determined by the Reka with a price of 31 euros/dt. The plus compared to the previous week is also 0.50 euros/dt. Belgapom left its quotations unchanged on Friday, but at the same time notes that demand is increasing again and is exceeding the available supply. There is still little news on the food market . The planting of new potatoes is still weak.The growing conditions in many early potato regions are still not ideal and are made more difficult by soil that is too wet. Nothing has changed in the prices for storage potatoes. More and more early potatoes from the importing countries are making their way onto the shelves of food retailers, although the quantities are currently still manageable. Compared to the previous year, however, the prices of imported potatoes have become somewhat cheaper. Shipments of the high stocks, especially in Lower Saxony, to Eastern Europe continue at a low level. As traders report, demand from Eastern Europe picked up again somewhat at the turn of the month.
