Corn with significant price gains

Corn traded briskly yesterday on Paris' Euronext/Matif. Significantly green signs appeared for all contract dates. The most traded November date rose by EUR 10.25/t to EUR 316.50. The weather worries remain. Rainfall of 0 - 5 liters per square meter is expected for the north, east and large parts of central Germany up to and including Friday evening. In Bavaria and Saxony as well as in parts of the Rhineland, between 5 and 30 liters could fall. This means that July will remain an extremely dry month. At the CBoT, the weather forecasts in particular support the price development. High temperatures are forecast for the coming days, especially in the southern growing areas. The second corn harvest is underway in Brazil. The consulting firm AgRual reports that 61% of the area has already been chopped and expects a harvest volume of 87.3 million tons.
