The corn contracts on the Matif/Euronext could not escape the weak environment and slipped into the red shortly before the end of trading. The red symbols also prevailed in the USA. The most traded July fell $19.25 US cents/bushel and is thus traded at the equivalent of EUR 293.25/ton. Above all, the hope that the Ukrainian export business could start up again caused selling pressure. Compared to the previous week, ethanol production has not changed and is at 991,000 barrels per day. The stocks, on the other hand, have developed differently. These fell by 350,000 barrels to 23.70 million barrels.
