The European Union issued this week of import licenses for 170,000 tons of maize and export licenses for 100,000 tons of corn. In the current marketing year amounted to the imports of maize on a total of 7,952 million tonnes (comparison period previous year: 12,258 million tonnes) and exports to a total of 2,852 million tonnes (comparison period last year: 2,371 million tonnes).
