France has exported 1.5 million tons of wheat outside the EU in March. This is the largest monthly amount in the marketing period 2015/16. 1.4 million tons of wheat were exported in February. Overall, France during the current marketing period exported 8.2 million tons of soft wheat outside the EU. The result of the largest wheat exporter in the EU is still 13% behind the result France in the comparison period of the marketing period 2013/14. Export demand owing to the weakness of the euro and an unusually high number of export transactions of feed wheat with Asia. However, the recent recovery of the euro led to a weakening of demand.
