The Bulls lost their lead in Paris yesterday. The futures ended yesterday's trading day with slight losses. In the US, contracts have come under more pressure. The front month lost $20.75 US cents/bushel and thus costs the equivalent of 370.50 euros/ton. The reason for the correction, in addition to the weakening financial markets, is above all the strengthening US dollar. In the global export business, US wheat continues to lose potential buyers. Meanwhile, the wheat harvest on the Great Plains is picking up speed again. By last Sunday, around 10% of the area had been threshed. Compared to the average of the last few years, the deficit is reduced to 2%. However, stocks remain in poor condition. Around a third is in good to very good condition. Spring wheat sowing has reached 94% and is almost complete.
