11% smaller wheat harvest in Ukraine

The Ukrainian agricultural market analyst ProAgro expects a national wheat harvest of 25.4 million tons in 2020, 11% less than last year. The corn harvest will be 4% larger and would then reach 37.3 million tons.
From this, the experts derived wheat exports of 17 million tons (previous year: 20.2). Maize exports would increase from 30.5 to 32 million tonnes in the 2020/21 season.
The Ukrainian minister of economics already lowered his country's grain harvest forecast to 60 million tons last week because the weather conditions were not optimal and many winter seeds were damaged.
