The market continues to move briskly. The available live supply is still not sufficient to comprehensively meet the demand of the slaughterers. Positive signals are coming from the meat market, many cuts could be marketed at significantly better conditions after the price increase last week. We therefore expect a further rise in prices for tomorrow, Wednesday. Nevertheless, the result of today's Internet pig exchange also shows that buyers are not willing to accept every asking price. The majority of the games offered could not be placed because the asking price was too high. At today's auction of the Internet Schweinbörs, a total of 960 pigs in 7 lots out of 2,640 pigs in 18 lots were sold at an average price of 2.35 €/kg (that's 4 cents less than at the auction on Friday) . The trading range was 2.32 to 2.40 euros/kg.
