5-year plan: China wants to restrict grain storage losses

Up to the year 2020, China wants to abolish 95% of his Open-Air grain warehouses. In the course of the modernization of Chinese agriculture, grain losses will be minimized.
China produced 621 million tons of grain last year, of which about 100 million tons in the open air must be stored temporarily. This leads to significant losses and endangered the national food supply.
In the 13 5-year plan of the Communist Government, to read the on the official website of China, is the speech that you would improve the grain storage capacity and wants to implement more efficient logistics systems. A government consultant is hoping that the next harvests fail not too big so that you should store no more than necessary under open sky. The prices move towards world market level, because the Government has cut aid.
Since 2011, storage capacities have been built in China for 82.5 million metric tons of grain. They were 300% more than originally planned. The present aid system had led but was producing more grain than you consumed in China. In the coming years, the qualified storage capacities should nonetheless remain at the previous level.
The 5-year plan also stipulates that foreign investment should be continued by State-owned Chinese company. The State company COFCO has invested in the acquisition of the Nobel Group recently 3 billion USD and thus obtained full control over the Dutch grain traders Nidera.
