After closing arguments for and against glyphosate - California court advises

A janitor in a California school that his cancer is due to the use of Monsanto's Roundup pesticide is now being tried in a court of law. The closing arguments were presented yesterday.
Caretaker Dewayne Johnson is one of the 5,000 US plaintiffs claiming that the herbicide glyphosate is carcinogenic. It's the first lawsuit on the subject that started four weeks ago in a California state court.
The plaintiffs claim that Monsanto is responsible for the cancer and demand a "judgment that changes the world".
For several months now, Monsanto has been a subsidiary of the German Bayer AG, which has bought the US plant breeding company for a record $ 62.5 billion. One rejects any responsibility for the illnesses. There is no scientific evidence for a link between cancer and glyphosate.
The US Environmental Protection Agency concluded in September 2017 after decades of discussion that glyphosate was not carcinogenic. In 2015, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified glyphosate as potentially carcinogenic to humans. The California court begins today with its deliberations.
