After subsidies in the Netherlands, there is no longer a free market for fries raw materials

The EU Commission has approved the Dutch aid for potato farmers. Now you get € 6 / dt for fries raw material, which is no longer processed due to the corona crisis. As a result, the warehouse keepers no longer offer their free potatoes to the factories. In addition, many fry factories terminate their purchase contracts in agreement with the farmers. Because our neighbors with fries raw material no longer have a free market, there is no listing this week either. Large quantities now flow into the feed trough or into the flake production. For exports to Eastern Europe, producer prices are now at least € 8 / dt. Table potatoes are more expensive anyway and cost up to € 20 / dt in Holland. Fries sales are now recovering somewhat.
