Algeria apparently bought a larger amount of wheat than initially expected

European traders report this morning that Algeria bought 390,000 tons of wheat yesterday. The first estimate was about 300,000 tons. The state grain buyer OAIC pays around $ 229 / ton c & f. The origin of the product is optional, but it is likely that the lion's share will be on French wheat. The shipment of the goods will take place in June. This increases the likelihood that this will be the last tender in the current marketing year 2017/18. OAIC itself publishes no details of its tenders, the reported results are to be understood as estimates.
