Algeria's state grain buyer OAIC has bought at least 600,000 tons of milling wheat of optional origin as part of an international tender, European traders announced today.
This was in line with the estimates made on the Tuesday evening after the tender was closed. However, some estimates of tons purchased were higher and more details are expected later.
Purchase price estimates stayed around $ 382.50 to $ 384 per tonne of c&f, also the same as Tuesday night, traders said.
More precise estimates of the prices are also expected later.
Algeria does not publish the results of its tenders. The reports are based on trade estimates.
The wheat was sought for shipping in three time periods from the main supply regions including Europe: December 16 to 31 in 2021 and January 1 to 15 in 2022 and January 16 to 31. If you purchase from South America or Australia, the shipment will be one month earlier.
