Algeria buys 560,000 tons of milling wheat

Algeria's state grain buyer OAIC has bought 560,000 tons of milling wheat of optional origin in an international tender.
According to initial rumors from the market, it pays 231-232 USD / ton c & f. Further information should be submitted later today.
Deliveries are to be made in two stages: October 1st-15th and October 16th-31st. If the delivery comes from South America, the first delivery would be from September 1st.
But so far Algeria has almost exclusively bought its wheat from the European Union and then mostly from France. France, the largest wheat producer in the EU, had a very small grain harvest this summer, which is why other surplus regions in the EU are now given a chance to win.
