Algerian Government grain purchasers OAIC has announced an international tender for the purchase of 50,000 tons of optional-origin wheat. Wheat for delivery in the first or second half of October will be searched. The offer period ends on September 7. Usually, Algeria buys larger quantities, as originally advertised.
Algeria traditional wheat supplier France suffered from unfavourable weather conditions which led 30% to a smaller wheat crop and poorer quality. It is believed that Algeria could buy wheat from other sources in the coming months.
