Almost 1 million tons less advance sales of Argentine soybeans

Argentine farmers have so far sold 34.8 million tons of soybeans in 2020/21, the Ministry of Agriculture said in a report yesterday afternoon. The data was last updated on November 17th.
The pre-sales were lower than in the previous season. At this point last year, the growers had sold 35.5 million tons of soybeans in 2019/20.
According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, the country produced 43.1 million tons of soybeans in the 2020/21 season and 49 million tons of oilseed in 2019/20.
According to official figures, 3.2 million tons of sales have already been registered on the futures market for soybeans 2021/22, which were planted in Argentina last month. For the 2021/22 harvest, the exchange expects 44 million tons.
