Argentina's Minister of Agriculture suspended yesterday's registration for agricultural exports until further notice. Traders are now expecting export duties to rise properly now.
In December 2019, Peronist Alberto Fernandez won the presidential election. He is a left-wing politician who wants to use the income from agricultural exports to clean up the $ 100 billion government debt.
Market watchers expect export duties to rise by 3%, which would result in farmers experiencing very high income losses.
