Argentina expects a record wheat harvest

The wheat harvest 2018/19 in Argentina will produce a record volume of 19.7 million tons. Last week, there were once again heavy rains, which have further improved the conditions for high yields. This was announced yesterday night by the Buenos Aires Grains Exchange.
This should make the harvest 8.8% larger than last year. This also contributes to a larger acreage. According to the stock exchange, 53.6% of the 6.2 million hectares have good to optimum soil moisture.
In addition, 19.5% of maize land is already ordered for crop 2018/19. The stock exchange expects record acreage of 5.8 million hectares and a crop of 43 million tons.
