In Argentina, the mill representative with the Union of the soybean oil workers have agreed after a hard, three-week strike on an increase in the references to 27.8%. The work should now be resumed. The Union represents the interests of 20% of the skilled workers in Argentina's oilseed industry. Argentina is the largest supplier of soy meal and soybean oil on the world market.
During the strike, the loadings were delayed by 41 ships. Some buyers had already dodged on North American origins.
