Argentina's farmers have harvested 86.7% of soybean stocks. This was announced by yesterday the Buenos Aires grains Exchange. Harvest progress was thus 8% this week.
The delay is due to the heavy rains in early April. They led to a slowdown in the pace of harvesting by 9.9% compared to the prior year.
Particularly affected by the heavy rainfall and storms were the provinces of Córdoba, Santa Fe and Entre Rios. Last, the rain especially in South-East of the province of Buenos Aires resulted in errors during the harvest.
Currently, the harvest forecast is unchanged at 56 million tons. Before the intense rainfall in April, which led to the temporary setting entre harvesting operations in parts of Cordoba, Rios and Santa Fe, the forecast was 60 million tons.
