Sunny weather has finally moved forward the harvesting operations in Argentina. Weeks rain the corn harvest was delayed repeatedly since April and now even the carriers go on strike.
31% ask higher freight charges, which are applied by the farmers. However, the Government sets freight rates after she has listened to both sides. The carriers have been achieving their demand on an unlimited strike.

The corn crop in Argentina is just brought in half, usually is the harvest from March to June but in the South American crop flooding, record amounts of rain had fallen since April. They are justified by the weather phenomenon El Nino and had in parts of the provinces of Santa Fe and Entre Rios crops and roads destroyed. Many routes are still not back.
Now the weather is with though, but not the streets. The year's maize harvest in Argentina is estimated by the local Corn Exchange on 27 to 28 million tons. Argentina is the world's third-largest corn exporter after the United States and Brazil.
