Argentina: Workers strike oil mills

The union of oilseed processors in Argentina wants to strike for a wage increase for 24 hours from Monday. Negotiations with employers were broken off without success.
Because of poor pay, many workers did not show up that month, which led to the Minister of Labor being called in. Nevertheless there was still no result of the negotiations.
The work stoppages have not yet resulted in any delay in soybean exports to Asian countries or Europe. In the corona crisis, employers complain about higher costs and exceptionally low water levels in the country's most important transport route, the Parana River.
Work stoppages are common in Argentina because the emerging South American country has a very high inflation rate.
