The German slaughter pig market is once again balanced this week. The animals available are at a normal level and can be easily placed. Due to the holiday, there are regionally smaller overhangs that can usually be removed quickly. Therefore, the price notifiers agreed on an unchanged price recommendation today.
Due to the warmer temperatures and the holidays, the trade in pork has recently picked up significantly. The trade in ham, on the other hand, continues to be difficult despite low prices. Our European neighbors are also reporting impulses in the trade in pork because the gastronomy has opened again in stages and there are also signs of easing in other areas.
