The German slaughter pig market is currently described as largely balanced by market participants. The pigs ready for slaughter can usually be weaned without any problems. In the coming week, a decline in supply with brisk demand is also expected.
It also looks more positive in the meat trade than in the weeks before. Due to the weather forecast for the weekend, barbecued items are in focus. Salmon, shoulders and neck are particularly popular. But even the parts that were in low demand in the Corona period are in greater demand again after the opening of the catering trade.
