Australia: ABARES lowers forecast for wheat production in 2018

The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES), a governmental organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, has significantly reduced its wheat production forecast for 2018. In June, 21.9 million tonnes of wheat were still expected, while the current forecast is 19.1 million tonnes, 13% lower than in June.
