Australia wants to export more red meat to China

Australia is seeking more meat exports to China. Despite some trading tensions, China is "a good friend," said Australia's agriculture minister.
David Littleproud has now sent his agricultural specialists to China to implement a free trade agreement with China, negotiated in 2016, to enable Australia to export more agricultural goods and reduce technical barriers to trade.
He hopes for a successful cooperation with China, said the minister at the meeting of the agriculture ministers of the G-20 states in Buenos Aires, where the trade tensions between the US and China were condemned.
However, China's authorities are delaying imports of citrus fruits and wine, and meat products are now expected to be granted import licenses by China.
