Australian corn merchant opens office in Kiev

Australian grain giant GrainCrop has opened a trading office in the Ukraine.
The new company is called GrainCrop Ukraine Ltd. and was entered in the commercial register on May 14th. They want to trade in agricultural commodities such as grain, seeds and animal feed.
The parent company GrainCrop, a leading international trading company based in Sidney, had already spoken in the spring that it would be present in the Ukraine in 2018 in order to be able to trade in this year's harvest.
Ukraine is at the center of the global grain market. There are large production areas with the possibility of further increases. It produces crops of high quality, but the yields are still expandable, using more modern technology.
These are the reasons why GrainCrop settles in the Ukraine.
Ukraine is one of the leading global grain producers and exporters. This year a grain harvest of 60 million tons is expected. In 2017, it was 61.3 million tonnes. At that time, 39.4 million tonnes were exported.
