The state grain buyer of Bangladesh has published another international tender to buy 50,000 tons of milling wheat, European traders said this morning. The offer period ends on December 8th, it said.
A previous bid from Bangladesh for 50,000 tons of wheat closed on November 22nd with no result being announced.
Bangladesh has issued a series of tenders for wheat and rice in recent months. The country imports rice and wheat to replenish its depleted reserves after extreme weather from floods to heat waves damaged crops.
Price offers in the most recent wheat tender will again be obtained at CIF liner-out conditions. These terms include ship unloading costs for the seller.
Despatch is targeted 40 days after the date on which the contract is signed. The wheat can be sourced from any worldwide source except Israel and is sought for shipping to two ports, Chattogram and Mongla.
