Successful success for Bayer CEO Werner Baumann: At the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 92.6 percent voted in favor of relieving the Executive Board. He had been refused discharge to the assembly last year. The shareholders thus acknowledge that Bayer had a successful business year in 2019 and continued to grow sales and profits at the beginning of 2020. Lawsuits from Monsanto clients are still pending, but the longer a decision by the U.S. courts is delayed, the more compliant the lawyers and their clients will be.
