Since the beginning of the year, Zimbabwe imported 350,000 tons of corn

Zimbabwe has imported 350,000 tons of corn since the beginning of the year until April, to counteract dryness-induced supply bottlenecks. It informed the UN Food Programme (WFP) yesterday.
Agricultural journalists in Johannesburg that Zimbabwe must import 1.3 million tons of corn this year, to meet the national demand of 1.8 million tonnes.
