The soya bean futures prices have posted the biggest weekly loss since mid-December these days. The offer from the USA is huge and Brazil is about to make another record crop.
In Brazil, on the soybean fields, it looks very good just before the harvest, and analysts have raised their crop estimates yet again. The drought in Argentina is unlikely to change the market situation given the huge supply on the world market.
However, the demand for oilseeds from China is very strong. December imports were very high, but pricing is currently dominated by oversupply. China's soybean imports have the second highest value for December. There, the New Year festival is celebrated in February, which increases the demand for meat.
