Brazil soybean crop benefited from the rain this week

Rain showers predicted for this week in Brazil, should not hinder the harvesting of soybeans and 2016/17 allow very early deliveries from the harvest, so the expectations of forecasters.
Brazil, the world's largest exporter of soybeans, expects a bumper crop of over 100 million tons this year. The harvest is imminent in the key States. Weather forecast for parts of the Center-West is "clouded with the passage of a cold front and scattered rains". Also in the northeast of the country, where it had rained for weeks, rain should go down occasionally. Still good income can grow there - contrary to earlier fears - in combination with high temperatures.
In Mato Grosso, the State, where more soybean growing as in Iowa and Illinois, the Centre of US cultivation for soy beans, taken together, the harvest has already started before Christmas. It is extremely early, because also the sowing was early. Last week, the farmers there had feared that would too much rain hamper the harvest, causing quality problems.
Changeable weather should allow sunshine and clouds this week but a rapid harvest progress. Until the end of January, Mato Grosso could have tabled 25% of its soybean harvest. That would be 7 million tons. A lot, which was at this early date from South America not yet on the market. That all depends on but the weather.
