British farmers warn of food shortages

The British are also sweating in the current heat wave. The maximum temperatures could set new records today or tomorrow, according to meteorologists.
The all time temperature record in the UK is 38.5 ° C in August 2003. The chances of topping it today or tomorrow are good. However, that depends on how the storms develop.
The meadows and pastures on the island are already brown, in northwest England there is a ban on water abstraction and people should avoid the direct sun. Farmers were faced with bottlenecks in food supply later in the year.
Next weekend some rain showers are forecasted. The heat will continue in the UK in the coming week.
