Argentine farmers are expected to harvest 38 million tonnes of soybeans this year. This was announced yesterday by the Corn Exchange in Buenos Aires. The previous estimate was 39.5 million tonnes. A harvest is expected to be 34% smaller than last year.
For months, the crop predictors cut their forecasts, because in the central Pampas belt of the South American country in summer there was a great drought.
