Buenos Aires grains Exchange expects 15 million tons of wheat in Argentina

The Argentine Corn Exchange in Buenos Aires estimates that currently, wheat harvest of the South American country now to 15 million tons, the previous estimate was still 12.5 million tons.
The area under cultivation was extended by 4.3 million to 4.7 million hectares. In the last financial year, the President Mauricio Macri selected a year ago lifted export duties on wheat and corn. Affiliated farmers grew more wheat, what was going on at the expense of acreage for soybeans.
The Argentina Government estimates the current wheat crop even to 15.7 million tonnes. In the previous year, 11.3 million tons of wheat were harvested there.
The acreage for soybeans is estimated by the Government at 20.3 million hectares last year, the area under cultivation was 20.6 million hectares. The Corn Exchange is, however, by only 19.6 million hectares this year.
